A fortified city in the centre of the southern coast famed for its historical neutrality and as a safe refuge for all races as far back as the age of agression.
Once a glimmering capital for technology and the lead in advancments across the world, Shar had to be almost completly rebuilt after the temporal war.

History
After its fall, Very few of of the origional denizens of Shar remained nearby, those that did, however were pioneers in the intigration of other species and races into their way of life.
Other cities elsewhere in the world still held contention for people who were once their enemies, but the people of shar who had been living amonst a mix of people for generations knew how to breed peace and tolerance with the new strangers who, either found themselves near shar, or who were now intergrating new peoples into their own homes.
Shar was founded on peace, raised in war and survived through the will and kindness of its people, wherever they may be.

Architecture
Wide and varied. many races over many centuries have added to the eclectic nature of the city. Tall and windy buildings of academia constructed by the gnomes (with strict guidelines on the height of doorways), natures entwined in public areas of relaxation brought in by the elves. all buildings of pure utilitarian purpose and strength are built by dwarven specifications.
While many places now incorporate the differences of races in terms of size into their architecture, Shar embraces them.
