Aalstadt
A Decently wealthy villiage, famed for its high quality carpentry which makes up its main export.
While the town has attempted to increase tourism in previous years, its reasonably remote location and reputation of "odd inhabitants" and "bizarre traditions" have hampered this slightly.

Defences
Modest malitia as most towns are known to have Aalstadt also defendings itself with mercinary guards from the much larger force at the northern border town of Jansendorf.
Industry & Trade
Due to the location of nearby dense forest and river transport to the ocean, industry for high quality carpentry has boomed into the towns main export. Furniture, weaponry, carts and even ship parts are built here.
Food is almost entirely mushroom, poultry and fish from the river. The chickens eatn here however are almost always of the "soup chicken" veriety due to their age.

Districts
While not seperated into districts, Aalstadt is a ribbon town and at its heart sits a town hall, a large inn and temple to Gond, the god of craft. The further away from this centre a building is, the less grand or wealthy it appears.

Architecture
Almost entirely wooden, the town is elven in origin. It continues the tradition of elven material use without the architecural style. Large, carved wooden beams and intricate doorways are commonplace, even umoongst the most basic of homes.
Geography
Nestled along the Rancnin river, several hours off the main northern pass, Aalstadt is almost completely surrounded by forest.
Natural Resources
Hardwood and rare deepwoods surround the town, difficult to work, but high in quality.
