Humans

The most populous of the races. Humans can be found on any and almost all continents in the world of Kyrion. They are known to be adaptive, determined, and innovative. Humans have survived and lived in this world for years and years and despite their comparative youth, they have ended up taking over a majority of the land with their settlements and nations. They aren't the most magical of the races, but what they lack in magic, they make up in gusto and ingenuity.   Humans come in all shapes and sizes, with as many diversities are there are locales, with each different variation and ethnicity making their mark, physically and culturally. For example, Humans from Oros have a slightly more yellow hue in their skin coloration than those from say the Twins. They also hold certain traditions and values differently than those from the Twins, such as honoring ancestors and honor in combat, and celebrate them in vastly different ways.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Humans are bipedal creatures: 2 limbs, 2 legs, a torso, and a head. They range from 4 feet to 6 feet high at adulthood with exceptions. They can vary in skin colors from dark browns to pale white, and their hair can differ in any length, size and color with exceptions. Physical differences between males and females are very obvious.

Genetics and Reproduction

Humans reproduce sexually through intercourse between male and female of their species. Babies are formed in a gestation period of about 9 months before being born. There have been cases of humans giving birth or having sired children with other races.

Growth Rate & Stages

Humans grow from babies at birth, to children from 5 to 12, to teenager from 13 to 17, to adult hood from 18 and on, with humans generally reaching maturity at about 24, with exceptions.

Ecology and Habitats

Humans are by nature social creatures, so it is common to see them living in a society with other humans or even other creatures. They have a natural ability to pack bond with others, even other races, by sharing a commonality between each other. It is very rare to find a human living by themselves away from others voluntarily.   Humans can live in almost any environment save from the sheer cold or extreme heat without adequate protection.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Humans, in general, are omnivores, with each individual favoring one particular food over the other on a case by case basis. They prefer to cook their food to not only increase its flavor, but also to allow the nutrients to better release into their bodies. Very rarely, if ever, do they consume raw meats, and most humans will even express disdain for such action.
