2024.02.14 - Chapter 1 - Session 4

General Summary

As you guys kept shopping around the market, you gathered bits and pieces to move forward in your adventure, while Orgc and Dr. Bones noticed a group of people following your tracks. Upon investigation, you found out that they were tracking Dr. Bones, learning his real name, Azrael.  After a quick visit to the Inn to have a meal and drinks, and Brad punching Dr. Bones in the face for no reason, just to see his face, you gathered your things and went back to adventure and try to find more clues about the missing people.  As the night engulf the forest, you found some lights coming from the inside of the forest. A mystical mist was covering the area, and you all started to take damage from it. Upon investigation, Betty was able to find a temple going underground. With some stealth, you found a room underground, where a chanting was ongoing and a Portal that seemed to be draining the life force or a prisoner. A whole bunch of cultists was inside performing what look like a ritual.  Time was of the essence, and without planning anything, you went balls deep inside the room to try to stop the Ritual.  A fierce fight unleashed, proving that the big numbers of the enemy were overwhelming, causing serious damage in the party. Some highlights from the fight were:

Brad, going on the defensive for the first time, absorbing lots of attacks and damage, and disengaging at perfect time to cause as much damage as he could to the Dark Priest when it was being held. 

Betty getting rid of the Legendary resistance of the main boss. 

Orgc finding the vulnerability of the enemies. 

Torgal absorbing insanes amount of damage, and changing the curse of the encounter with a perfect timed Hold person on the main boss. 

Davyeras performing a huge mass heal on the whole party, turning the tables when everyone was very low on health. 

Dr. Bones killing the Dark Priest exploiting the vulnerability discovered by Orgc. 

Although the fight was not over, your teamwork lead you to kill the biggest threats, having to finish the encounter as the session was running late.
