Terrah

Origin The town of Terrah was founded less than a year before the Catian Empire fell. Being such a new town its population is roughly 220 inside of the walls and 160 within a 5-mile radius. The town was established by a man named Izzton Myar who set it up with some friends and family to fish off of. Later as the town grew from families the Empire established it as an empire-ruled town, and as it got attention many more people settled there. The town served the empire as a fishing hub and now has much of the same purpose but for individual settlements and mainly themselves.   Government   Terrah was taken over by Regis. A man with a large amount of money and authority. Although he resides on Rorkir he's establishing a colony that he can use to begin harvesting resources. Decisions are made by Regis and carried out by his men. Any resistance is killed swiftly. Opinion of Regis is that everyone is too afraid to say or do anything. There are no original guards of the town left as they were all killed.   Keeping The Peace Terrah has a couple of guards who keep the town safe. These guards were originally sent by the Empire but after the Empire's collapse, they stayed there, settled down, and decided to continue keeping the town safe. As more people came of age the guards expanded and they now have around 15 guards for the entire place. Most of these guards use padded armor and spears, but higher-ranking officials may use chain mail or scale mail with a sword. Ranking goes as follows: Private, Lieutenant, Captain. Most patrols are groups of 2.   Commerce The economy of Terrah is primarily fishing. The small gulf they fish in is overflowing with large fish and as a result the majority of the people there are fishermen.   Organizations Farmer's Market.   Merchant Guild.   1 member of the Lushgard.   Religion While most people in Kurdestan believe in a pantheon of Gods, the idea that there is one God has become very popular in Terrah. A paladin of an order called "The Chosen of the Redeemer" came to their town and told them how a man claiming to be a God called "The Redeemer" has revealed himself, that he will purify this cursed land, and how he has already done so in the north. This message of hope was heard by Reverend Proud Ice (Tabaxi) who has begun preaching to the locals in the town center.   For many this message of hope has brought on new faith for them and faith in the Redeemer has taken over the entire town. The previous church of the Town was Selune, Goddess of the night and moon, which was important to many families because of their fishing heritage. Those still in this church hold a lot of anger towards those who follow The Redeemer.   Major Buildings Tavern + Inn: The Skinny Turtle Bartender- Yerug Ironbelch (Male Gnome)   Blacksmith: Ther's Owner- Therezon Erud (Male Elf)   General Store: Enna's General Wares Owner- Enna Voldlathi (Female Orc)   Church: Church of Selune Priest- Mhurren Eastoft (Male Orc)   Guard Barracks Captain-    Town Center/Farmer's Market   NPC'S (Bartender, Gnome) Yerug Ironbelch- A charming and old gnome who is raucous and ostentatious.
