Nyseris Aralon

In the doctrine of The One Faith, Nyseris Aralon is the son of the one true god, the Allfather. Together, father and son form the holy Dyad.

The Allfather revealed his divinity by sending his son Nyseris among mortals to show them the error of their ways. At that time, Nyseris became known as ‘The Prophet’ and was rumored to be Veremund returned because he performed miracles - enchanting and conjuring without Witchrock. His sermons and teachings are captured in the faith's holy book 'Canon of the Allfather.'

Nyseris was betrayed by Jorvandir, a Slyphian disciple and trusted member of Nyseris' inner circle. The Aetheria Dominion considered Nyseris a heretic for using sourcery without a source (Witchrock), and Jorvandir's treachery resulted in his capture. Nyseris Aralon was crucified to The Execution Tree then cast off the edge of the floating land mass, falling to his death in the Wasteland far below. This betrayal stained Slyph-kin for generations, their kind widely considered to be shifty and untrustworthy.

Concepts of the One Faith:

• Creation from Chaos - before the world, there was simply the Cosmos - an expanse of endless, formless, primordial void that was chaotic and unpredictable. It was separated into light and darkness, but beyond that it lacked form, mass, and dimension...and was beyond mortal comprehension. The Allfather, god of all creation, brought order to the roiling chaos, creating Kryllos in a metaphysical event called the Founding.

• The Afterlife - upon death, a mortal's soul is judged on the balance of the life they've lived, whether they reached their fullest potential, and whether or not they adhered to the virtues of the faith: Truth, Honor, Loyalty, Discipline, Hospitality, Industriousness, Self-Reliance, Perserverance. This is known as the Measure of Worth, where souls are taken on to Hevalla (paradise) or Hel (an abyss of suffering.)

Sacred Site:

• Prophet's Fall - sacred site where Nyseris was said to have been crucified to the tree and pushed off the edge of the world. A frequent pilgrimage destination for the faithful.
