Elzia

Basic Information

Anatomy

The Elzia have the satin complexion of beach sand, almost golden, like their hair (attentions they are made of static electricity), the eyes are amber yellow split like the felines. The texture of their skin is right between soft sand and a cotton cloud. They are often smaller than the other Athrians, reaching human size, the other Athrians are between two and three metres tall. Differentiating an Elzia from an Elzia is difficult, as it is for all children, without the clothes it is difficult to know if they do not follow the common pattern, which is the basis of an Elzia. Strangely, male Elzia tend to be more serious with age.

Biological Traits

They have the power to change the weather as they wish, controlling the winds, the clouds, being able to make rain and lightning fall and even float in the air, carried by the wind. Their bodies themselves are electrically charged and use this energy in the form of lightning when they perform their traditional dance. Since they are in Kray-Maven they also have the knowledge of what mpagnetism is, and were always able to manipulate that, only they were not aware of what it was.

Average Intelligence

Elzia are not often very "intelligent" they do not care much about knowledge. However, they are very clever, perceptive and can easily find out what you hide in your mind.

As all Athrian they have perfect sight and hearing, magic perception. As Elzia, they also have perception of pressure, hydrometry, magnetism and electricity.

Elzia dance temple, the only concrete stuff they ever were able to create and keep for a long time: monks that dance all day and invite everyone to dance with them.

Average Technological Level

Elzia were true master of everything linked to wind, using a lot of wooden clockworks to create extremely efficient windmills, yet perfectly useless. they were perfect architect, capable of creating perfectly chaotic structures that could still stand.

Code ? What does that mean ? Elzia wear what they find amusing to wear, most often rags or colourful clothes, often both.

Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals

The Elzia dance, something that need to be seen once in a life. Not something easy to miss, most Elzia instinctively learn to dance the traditional dance of Elzia, and youngster often do it in the middle of the street to brag. However, as a traditional art, it is a bit forgotten, passed adulthood, not a lot of Elzia actually use the dance for real professional shows. The war variant of it is sometime used when training.

History

Once upon a time on Athria, they were made of clouds, fine drops of water charged with electricity. Terribly volatile and elusive. They were reputed to be talented architects, creating gigantic mills, magnificent towers, all without any purpose. The very structure of their monuments was meaningless, the halls being oriented anyhow, and had several supplies arranged, certainly very harmoniously, but in a purely chaotic way, forgetting the sole purpose of aesthetics. They are totally unpredictable, even adults are hyperactive like children. They change their moods as the wind changes direction. Furthermore, they become attached to others very easily and forget quickly once they are apart, sometimes they are so attached that it is impossible to let them go. One could say that there is no good or bad Elzia, only Elzia who follow trends according to their moods... well, no. An Elzia will always follow their heart, bad Elzias are rare, but they are free spirits who cause chaos for the pleasure of seeing the wind turn into a tornado, and don't seek to do evil for evil's sake, nor to follow the dark design of another.

Historical Figures

Helana Onirem, the last real master of the dance, saviour of the world, and absolute terror for people of Alia; some elderlies remember having been in gang with her. Irlon Ariès, know for having deffended Riadretahn against the witch, and made an entire elven temple fly in the air, that would later become Aegis the flying city.
