Demographics

As this is a lumber town, most of the population are lumberjacks. There is little variation in the races here, with most of the town being occupied by half-orcs. They are incredibly crude and violent, which is why a hierarchy has been formed, with the minority of gnomes, creating an elaborate government, and the majority of half-orcs being forced to work manual labour.

Government

The government is run by 10 gnomes. They are treated like royalty, due to the clever machines that they have created. These machines keep the half-orcs at bay. Severe taxation of the wood ensues, which means most of it goes towards the royalty, and is used to build majestic structures.

Defences

There are lots of intricate machinery that could cause serious damage if they were set off. They were created by the gnomes to rule over the orcs. Also, surrounding thee gnome fortress is a large wall, with some of these weapons on top. They include:
  • Wooden Crossbows
  • A pit trap
  • Catapults
  • Trebuchets

Industry & Trade

They trade wood they get from the nearby woods, and any berries or meat they collect while foraging. They don't buy many imports and are generally isolated from most of the business hubs and trade routes.

Infrastructure

Most of the village-folk have poorly constructed wooden shacks, with a few shops selling poor meat, and bad crops. However, right next to it, are majestic wooden castles armed with ferocious-looking traps and weapons. Nearby are several spikes with orc heads on them.

Assets

They have little gold, but their assets lie in the rich wood they store.

Architecture

The wood is elven and is taken by the elf inhabited woods nearby. This explains why there is an elf minority in the village. The wood is high quality and is used to build the fortresses in which the gnomes reside. The shacks in which the townsfolk live in are made from a combination of straw, and some of the wood scraps.

Geography

They have a large elven wood nearby and is near a river which carries water to the south. The terrain in which it is located is generally plain, with lots of animal life, and plants life.

Natural Resources

Elf wood is the main natural resource they use. Some miners hoard stone but is so scarce it is barely noticeable. Most valuable resources go to the gnomes.
