Ripplewick Island
Ripplewick is home to the finest sailors and fisherman in the realm. It figures too, since something in the waters to the northeast around Ripplewick makes the fish grow big. Really, really big. Fish in this region can grow as large as a galley ship and will often sink entire vessels with a single flop. People believe that the giant fish come out of The Cauldron but no one has taken the initiative to investigate that yet. Here, special tools and equipment designed by the finest minds in Flimisham are mounted onto the fishing vessels in order to haul in the biggest fishees possible and to protect the ships from the ones too big to catch.
Home to the annual Fish Festival known as Fishtoberfest, a five day celebration centered around the fishing industry involving fishing contests, fish pie eating contests, harpoon throwing, eel-wine expo, the annual dance of the squid fairies, and much more. The Fish Festival culminates on the 5th of Rain in a great dance and feast in honor of Syrashi.
