Anmalings

Anmalings are a small race that live in high up areas like skylands and mountaintops. Their lungs are perfectly adapted to breathing thin air. They can live in any type of climate although they struggle to fly when it is cold.
Anmalings are the only race with any kind of airborne abilities. Although they can not technically fly, they use the large skin flaps (called wings, even though they’re not) located below their arms to glide up among the air. 
Anmalings form social hierarchies by nature and usually group together with those of the same wing colour, in which a social order stands among that group themselves, as well as an established dominance, submission or neutrality over other groups. Wing colours come in grey, brown, white, green, red, blue, gold, black and silver, with duller, less vibrant colours like grey, brown and white being at the bottom of the social order.

Anmalings are not born with wings, their skin flaps grow until they reach the mature age of eight cycles old.
