Kōna

Welcome to Kōna, an alien world with a strangely familiar, comforting feel, and a project in naturalistic worldbuilding. From the geography to the many languages and people which pepper the surface of the rust-orange Earth, everything has been designed with a hefty dose of realism in mind, and a generous sprinkling of fantasy and sci-fi elements. Inspired by worldbuilders such as Kim Stanley Robinson, Adrian Tchaikovsky, Frank Herbert, and Tolkien, as well as my own travels in the real world, I hope to create a setting which is familiar enough to be interesting and navigable, yet alien enough to feel refreshing and interesting. Kōna is a beautiful planet, largely unharmed by its residents, and with many mysteries and unexplored areas begging to be discovered. Will you take part in the discovery?
