Kjor

Kjor inhabit the northern realm commonly referred to as the “Hornlands”. A highly social race, sadly divided by their worship of differing aspects of their god. The kjor that worship Korog as a whole tend to be found spread across their land in villages, towns and cities.   Large humanoids, muscular with bovine heads and four arms. Hands have three fingers and a thumb, feet are split cloven.   Kjor see in the normal human range but their hearing is very acute and reaches into the ultrasonic range.   Breeding cycles are tied to seasons, with Spring being the primary season for new additions to herds. Cows give birth to primarily single calves, although twins are not uncommon.   Kjor calves are put through tribal rituals when they are 8 years old and if they pass, they are considered worthy of names. At 14 years old they undergo another ritual to become adults.   Kjor prefer rolling hills and open pasturelands, although some variants do inhabit low altitude plateaus in some mountain ranges.   The majority of kjor develop a long, shaggy coat during winter (especially those in the extreme north), this coat is normally shed during the warmer seasons. Kjor males do grow additional fighting horns during the rutting season which are then mostly discarded once this season is over.   Kjor are herbivores and prefer grasses of many kinds, but will also consume fruit and vegetables (raw) when they can.   70 years   Primarily white, but with regional variations including blue/blacks, browns and tans. Tattoos are common, as are tusk, horn or hoof modification and decoration.
