History of Xanther: Robbing one of our own is savage. Which is why Xanther keeps the really good loot for himself. There is a magic shop in the next town. They have a +3 Warhammer that I want. That bitch keeps it behind a cage. Steal it without getting caught and we might be able to talk about getting in to the Xanther Guilde.3) You were spotted shaking down the Business Owner in the Neighboring village. They remember you from the good deed you did getting the water back from Farmer Joe. The Guild cannot have celebrities in the guild you have 12 hours to handle this situation or you will be kicked out
4) Rob the Son in either the Impure Savagery Guild. Then use the money to buy everyone here a round.
5) There is a party at the NOVU. High End Tree Elf Swarway. Lots of fancy people, but we didn't get an invite. Which makes us really mad. Find your way into the party - loot as many people as you can without getting caught. Then leave the High Elf Mistress Herself and bring her back here so that we may teach her the lesson that she is not above bowing down the underbelly.

It is not just House Liabon. All of the Lesser Deities. They should not have won the war. The Cult of Tiamat is behind me, The Order of the Wispered One, and those who dispise what the world has become. We are making a world a better place. In order to do that, those banished must retake power. If you get in his way, he will kill you. This is your warning, "I have been playing nice."

Why does he want to destory House Liabon? He is not hostile to you and this place, inside of The Guild is very much like The Continental In John Wick. There is no killing allowed inside of it's walls. Plus he has 2 Orbs and he is getting the third now, and while you are here talking to him, he paid a band of mercinaries to get him the fourth, you've lost.

Xanther's Number 2 Breaks Up this exchange.
He is glad to see new members talking and mingling. However, there is small detail to attend too. Xanther has heard of you and before he can invite you to his lair, he needs to know that he is in the midst of cold-hearted killers.
There is a village off the coast of Port De La Sol, under Jua protection. Xanther's enemies live there. Port De La Sol is a police state, led by Xanther's main rival GENERAL BOLOSA. The last Leader of Xanther,Nahix, was exiled found himself at General Bolosa's doorstep. Now the rumor is Nahix is going to snitch to the courts which will give them everything they need to take a military position against Xanther. A military occupied state is bad for the underworld business.
Your mission is to kill General Bolosa and Nahix. This is zero-footprint op.Xanther's number 2 gives you 2 viles of Purple Worm Poison. This is a very dangerous poison. One sip and this will knock the General out.If the General is killed, it will be suspected as an assassination and King Shalo will move on the offensive to protect his most loyal and trusted friend.
Nahix is no such friend to Xanther and his death will not spark a war between Jua and the the underworld here in Skullport.
Xanther's Number 2 gives you military police uniform and one Constable Captain Uniform. Your point of contact will be Sandy Crow (Kenku level 15 Rouge Assassin). She is one of Xanther's spies posted all over the town. Her favorite watering hole is WINTER'S CULDRON.
****Have this person be a person from the Character's Backstory**** Do not engage with local law enforcement. This is not your average town guard, this is a town military.
Your Return
Upon your return you take everything to Xanther's #2 everything you have collected.MEETING/FIGHTING THE REAL XANTHER
Third Floor: Xanther's #2's office.A very well organized magic shop. The shop is beautiful. Potions, books, and everything you could possible want to know about the realm. However, nothing is for sale.
Xanther cannot see you, something has come up.
Xanther's #2 goes to the second floor where the guild members are housed. (Do you follow?)
If yes, you notice ****BBG CHARACTER**** is here.
Xanther's number 2 tells everyone: "A bounty on the Prince of Jua. He has captured and is scheduled to hang one of our own in the town square in one weeks time. Kill the Prince, and free our brother. The bounty is 2000gp dead, 900 alive.
Failure to bring our brother back home to the Xanther Thieves Guild will result in no payment for anyone."Show spoilerPerception Check: DC 11 -- As everyone on the second floor scatters after hearing this bounty, Perception Check would yield that ****BBG Character**** is the only that didn't run out. Xanathar was originally simply known as The Eye before becoming a crime lord. He is an elderly, greedy and paranoid Beholder from the Graypeaks Hive.
The Eye arrived in Skullport in 1205 DR, already a slaver in search of a greater market. In time, his business and his organization grew. At one point, he re-organized his organization into a semi-autonomous model and retreated into the background, spreading rumors about his demise or retirement. Soon, most people forgot about the beholder slaver and in 1304 DR the Agents of the Eye were simply a large slaving ring in Skullport with no association with beholders.
Meanwhile, the Eye gathered information about the mysterious Xanathar Thieves' Guild, a powerful underground thieves guild, and in time discovered that they were also led by a beholder, a beholder of a different hive. Thus the Eye decided to take control, by killing and taking the position of Xanathar. The Eye discovered all of the original Xanathar's secrets and at the same time manipulated another beholder, Uthh, into wanting to kill Xanathar. Eventually, Uthh fought Xanathar in his lair; Xanathar slew Uthh but was too weak to resist the surprise attack of the Eye. The Eye killed Xanathar and took his place as the leader of the Xanathar Thieves' Guild. The Eye pretended to be his predecessor but, in order to avoid problems, said that "Xanathar" was just a title. Afterward, the Eye gathered together his agents and the Xanathar's Guild.
In time more and more beholders assumed the Xanathar's mantle, some for a brief time. Until 1479 DR ruled a beholder previously called Izulktur. That year Izulktur grew bored and decided to retire. The new master was Zushaxx, a young and ambitious beholder of the same beholder cluster of Izulktur. With the support of the drow henchman Kal'dir Zushaxx quickly established himself as the new Xanathar.
