Cohors Aethyric Auxilliae
Legion Cohors Aethyric Auxilliae
The men, women and creatures who provide the Legion with arcane support in any of the traditions, excepting Necromantic.
The Legion credits their service in 5 year increments, and funds their advancement in a the Aethyric Guild in the province of their choice (most chose Aermo). Once they end their service the kingdom will demobilize them to any guild house in the kingdom, via their Aethyric Gate, paying the transport fee.
Pay is as for a Centurion, but supplies of specialty components are at the cost of the Specialist. If the consumable is used in the course of the battle, as certified by the Cohors centruion, then the kingdom will pay for its replacement value.
Structure
Aethyric Auxiliae number about twenty in a given legion, with the senior magister given the title of Centurion Aethryic Magister. This person works with the Praefect to divide his resources to best support the activities of the Cohors.
At any given time it is normal that there are two casters with each cohors, and the Magister stays with the newest caster at the First Cohors.
Duties
To ensure the victory of the Legion in pursuit of its duties.
This is left broad to permit each caster to best support their men as they are able.
Thus it is possible a cohors may find their abilities boosted, while another has significantly improved equipment, and another fights alongside a passionate Evocator.
