Lasolium (lah-SOL-ee- um)

Lasolium is a very soft stone, so soft that it is almost like clay. It is pure white but it is metallic white when mixed with led. It is also stronger when its mixed. It is used in the making of masks because of its soft nature, and the led mixture, which is called Ledsolium, is used primarily in the making of sculptures. It goes well with gold because of its pure white look. When it is heated to 105° F it melts to a runny liquid. In this state it is sometimes mixed with water to make paint, though very rarely for it is very expensive. Lasolium is found only in Addyon's Pit and is very hard to mine. You can not mine Lasolium as you do other ores. The Addyon Dwarves have developed a very effective way to remove it without tainting it. First they let down a dwarf specially trained to find Lasolium. This dwarf finds a good sized deposit, which can sometimes take a few days to find, and chooses a place close to the deposit. Then he digs a cave big enough to hold three full grown dwarves. Then he comes back up and they send two diggers down. The diggers open the cave so that it can hold 20 dwarves comfortably. Then they send mining supplies and dwarves down to the cave. They then drive long stakes into the ground above the cave. Then they use steal ropes to lower a special type of furnace down to the cave. Then the dwarves down in the cave mine until they reach the Lasolium. When they reach Lasolium they put the furnace, which looks like a big hot plate, up against the Lasolium, and they put iron pans under it. They then turn on the furnace and melt the Lasolium so that it runs into the pans. Then, when they have gotten all the Lasolium, they take everything back up to the surface. They then go through a very long refining process.
