A world filled with legends, and lore, that has suffered over eons of torment and toil of climatic forces, yet it has survived and so have those who live upon it. Many look to the blessing of its creator Aura, or The Mother of Gods, The Everlasting, The First. Her existence has always been, always was, and always will. With a single thought, she gave birth to divinity, the creation of the planes, the ethereal sea, and the primordial chaos upon an ashen sky. From this sky the first gods were formed, agents of the Aura, they were given the divine task to form beauty from chaos.
Kelruin is a world of survivors, and the celebration of triumphs though such strife. Be if the Ezrian, the human culture that survived multiple cataclysms to rebuild their great civilizations in the vast metropolis of Gray Heaven. The warrior elves of Thyn Dorei, or the independent cunning of the Elysian Halflings. All these are people hold dear their ability to survive a world that is covered in more ruins than civilization.
It is a world of magic and mystery, where the fey guard the hidden powers of nature, and the mystic art weave uncanny powers over reality, only to those daring enough to seize it. Magic has had a chaotic history throughout time, being Kelruin’s savior as well as it’s folly. From the studied wizard, to the faithful cleric, magic has always had a special place within all cultures across Kelruin, and is interwoven into the fabric of its past, present, and future.
