Astoria is third the planet closest to the sun Euphraxia. It is difficult to map permanently because of it's ever changing landscape. Originally Astoria was thought to be a small star, but further exploration discovered constantly growing landmasses. It was found that the planet is not gaseous, but rather covered nearly 90% by magma. The planet is constantly at war with itself. The continual expansion and destruction of land creates havoc on the planet's atmosphere. With no land masses, the atmosphere condenses into a thick layer of ozone. With these conditions, the atmosphere pulls a most precious resource; water. The water condenses into thick clouds, pulling together and forming a twisting, churning storm. This storm is never ending, and constantly moving. It doesn't move quickly, perhaps a few hundred miles in one Balo year. (228 Kaa Solar days). This migration of acid rain provides the necessary elements to form land masses. These land masses are free floating, as they are not created and cemented through volcanic activity. They are sustained as long as they are within range of the acid rainstorm. Fluctuating magma currents break up these land masses, and the result is a series of ever evolving landmasses akin to the sea ice found on the planet of Absentia.
