Tavern: The Gilded Respite Owner: Baelenia Ofanthras, Female Elf Description: The tavern is a plaster simple building, with a black shingled roof and vines covering the walls and roof. A duck serves as a mascot and greets customers. It contains a deck with chairs and a huge collection of alcohol behind the bar. Specials: Bacon Burger with Bread and a Tankard of Cider (5 sp) Chocolate Soup with Peaches and a Coffee (5 sp) Mutton Sandwich with Onion and a Coffee (5 sp)   Blacksmith: The Golden Pommel Owner: Galinndan Erenaeth, Male Elf Description: The blacksmith is a plaster and wood framed rowhouse, with an orange shingled roof and dead hedges. It contains a crossbow sitting on the counter and everything is covered in dust and metal shrapnel.   Enchanter: Fate and Wizardry Owner: Mara Burthak, Female Dwarf Description: The enchanter is a stone-walled large single storey building, with a white tile roof and a small vegetable garden. It contains piles of scrolls and books on the counter and along the walls and a horned skull with a crystal ball embedded on it.   Jeweler: Crown Jewels Description: The shop is a single-story wooden building built on a stone foundation. A sign above the door depicts a swan with its wings outstretched & a crown upon its head. A silver bell rings as you step through the door. Inside, a pleasant warmth from the stone hearth fills the room. Three short shelves form a 'U'-shaped counter in the center. Shopkeeper: The shopkeeper is a thin, middle-aged human named Jennifer Snitko. She has long blond hair, fading to white at the temples and a confident demeanor about her.   General Goods: Daedalius Consortium & Tradding Company Description: The single-story gaily-painted wooden building sports a wide display window of crystal-clear glass. Order & organization seems to be the rule within, and all table surfaces protected by silk liners. Shopkeeper: The shopkeeper is a flamboyantly dressed male human of dark skin in his early forties named Roshmir Daedalius. He knows his wares are of good quality, and can order more exotic items given time to do so. He Can order more exotic items for a modest finder’s fee (10% of cost)   Fine Clothing: Casta Diva Description: The shop is a stone block building, painted pastel pink & yellow, both inside & out. Motes of magical light illuminate the interior. The lights blink like camera flashes when PCs exit a changing room with an outfit. The south corner of the shop features a raised platform, backed by three tall polished steel mirrors set at different angles. Shopkeeper: The shopkeeper is a posh half-elf woman named Deva Ventimeglia. She encourages the PCs to try on her wares & "Really Feeel the fabric." Only after they try on a piece they like, does she reveal the price.

Blacksmith: The People's Scabbard Owner: Pernold Il-Son, Male Human Description: The blacksmith is a plaster sprawling single storey building, with a black shingled roof and a large cellar. It contains piles of scrolls and books on the counter and along the walls and a large variety of metal tongs hanging on the walls.   Alchemist: The Hag's Libation Owner: Erminah Andover, Female Human Description: The alchemist is a plaster and wood framed cabin, with a reinforced wooden door and moss-covered walls and roof. It contains piles of scrolls and books on the counter and along the walls and red paper candles all around the store.   Jewler: Uncommon Adornments Description: The shop is a masterfully constructed wooden structure, with intricate images of blossoming trees carved into the walls & door. A sign on the door reads "Please Remove Footwear". Good advice, as the floor of the shop is a foot-deep pool of fine white sand. Shopkeeper: The shopkeeper is a patient human male named Toto Riley. He is a former monk who transfers the mysteries he has mastered into jewelry via enchantment. Why? To bring enlightenment to those who may not otherwise seek it, thus healing the world in a small way.   Scribe/Bookstore: The Page Master Description: The shop is a tri-story building crafted from well hewn granite. The floor is a tiled mosaic, and magical beams of sunlight follow you about the shop to illuminate what you are viewing. Shopkeeper: The shopkeeper is a cheery, nasily-voiced, frail-looking aristocrat named Barnes The Noble.   Garments: Tangled Fibers Description: The shop is a small stone & mortar building with a clay shingled roof. Inside, the shop is illuminated by several lanterns, each with a cloth shade of a different color. An antique loom rests on a large, tasseled carpet to one side of the oak counter. On the other side is a pair of plush, over-stuffed armchairs with a small side table betwixt them. Shopkeeper: The shopkeeper is a portly human man named Felix Needleworthy. He is a dandy-fellow, with a waxed comb-over of black hair and an oiled mustache whose points stick out from his face like whiskers.   Livery: Magnificent Menagerie Description: The shop is a squat stone structure. Multi-colored pinions flap on thin ropes hung from the tin roof to the central wooden gate posts. You hear bellows & roars coming from two rows of large iron cages. These rows are set 6 in a line, with one to either side of a trench dug 15-ft deep. A sturdy iron gate opens to a earthen ramp leading down. Shopkeeper: The shopkeeper is scruffy-looking human man named Harold Barnum. He absolutely tries to sell his poorer stock first, saving the more exotic and healthier creatures as display to entice future customers. Specializes in exotic mounts.  

Shady

Tavern: The Bulette Owner: Avice Franklin, Female Human Description: The tavern is a log single storey building, with a red tile roof and overgrown hedges. It is well-lit by a few magical torches. It contains a beautiful oak countertop and tightly packed tables and chairs. Will kick out any non-Human customers, including current patrons. Specials: Bacon Steamed Bun with Peas and a Glass of Whiskey (5 sp) Egg Stew with Barley Biscuits and a Tankard of Cider (5 sp) Sausage Ramen and a Tankard of Beer (4 sp)   General Store: One Eye Palette Owner: Erifra Goldfist, Female Dwarf Description: The general store is a timber framed sprawling single storey building, with a gray shingled roof and nicely trimmed hedges. It contains large persian rugs on the floor and a decomissioned carriage serving as shelving for goods.   Leather woker: The Sow's Ear Description: The shop is a single-story wooden building, with an open hatch in its roof. The hatch allows sunlight & fresh air inside, as well as the pigeons nesting in the shop's rafters. Droppings speckle the counter and the tops of shelves which hold an array of sacks, purses, & bags. Shopkeeper: The shopkeeper is an old halfling woman named Farnham Grichels. she is wearing a blue frock and braids in her rust-colored hair.  

Other Points of Interest

  The Great Tombstone- Marks the final resting place of the ashes from all 113 previous Captains of the Guard. It is custom for the current captain to visit the grave and offer flowers daily. A reminder to perform his job admirably. Strange things tend to happen near the tombstone just before dawn.   An Old Fountain- Sculpted to depict an old hero who has long been out of favor in these parts. Water continues to pour from the old fountain, however it is said that at times it will flow with blood.   The Sugarplum Tree - The tallest tree of all of Zamora, in the heart of the city. The air smells sweet and both the blossoms and the fruit are edible.   The Barracks: A sturdy half-timbered building, a station of of the town guard. It is rumored to be built atop a long-forgotten dungeon, now half-flooded and infested by monstrous vermin.   The Guildhall: A grand stone-walled building, decorated with finely carved gargoyles. It contains a large meeting hall and several smaller rooms, and is shared amongst several local trade/merchant guilds.   The Devil's Gallows: It is said that every thief and murderer condemned to these gallows whispers a dark secret or betrayal in the moment before they die.   The Queen's Stone: It is said that the legendary rogue Elean drew the sword Wraithreaver from this moss-covered stone and became queen of the realm.   The Blade of Fire: A grand elven inn, decorated with stained glass windows.
