Structure
Kalsien is a monarchy ruled by House Karadan. The title of king or queen of Kalsien is inherited through male-preference primogeniture. The current monarch is King Aerik III Karadan.
The monarchy is divided into three counties, with each Count serving a position in the Kalsien Council. The Kalsien Council is made up of three Counts, as well as the Master Steward, the Champion General and the Royal Mage.
The monarch has absolute authority and their word is treated as law, but the council members assume control over most matters of the kingdom to avoid burdening the ruler.

An estimated 72,000 people participate in the society of Kalsien, but an accurate number is impossible to make since no official record has been made in several decades.
