The Four Creators

The Four Creators emerged as ideals from among the Chaos when life itself was budding through it. To protect and guide it, they banished Chaos and created the different planes so that life could thrive. In the beginning the gods took forms that mimicked that of the newly forming creatures so that they could rule among them. However, the different views of the Creators clashed at times, and when they realised that their wars drove their children to war as well, they left the material plane to watch from afar.   The Four Creators are gods known by most of Kathuraz, even if they're not actively worshipped, their history is taken as fact. Only the most remote and isolated areas might be unaware of them. The Dragonborn for example know they were created by them, but mostly worship other, dragon-like gods.

Hoshard

  God of Progress
Depicted as a Dwarf
For life to thrive, progress needs to be made   Hoshard understands that stagnation is the enemy of life. Without changes, no matter how small, how can life evolve and become better than it was before? This often has to be a reminder of long lived races, those that stick to traditions no matter what. Hoshard tries to use his influence to guide those that need to change - in his mind, that is everyone. Hoshard's followers thrive to bring change into the world, be it political, magical or personal. Often inventors and innovators can be found among them.

Ashanna

Goddess of the Elements
Depicted as barely Humanoid
For life to thrive, everything needs balance   The elements of fire, water, air and earth are most important in all realms, as they serve as a protection from Chaos itself. Only when they are all in balance can life in the material plane thrive, no matter what direction it might take. Ashanna also created those that would later become the forefathers of the Genasi, like Serialia, the embodiment of the sea. Her followers know that Ashanna is everywhere, and in everything. But it is not only the elements that need balance. Cities versus forests, humanoids versus animals, they all have a right to exist in the world, and all must learn to coexist with each other.

Vash'run

Goddess of Light, life, creation
Depicted as an elf
Life itself will thrive   Vash'run has seen life come from nothing, from Chaos, and believes that it is best left alone to thrive. She celebrates every part of life, vowing to protect it as best she can, even after the gods left the material plane. There's no 'wrong' way that someone can be born, each unique facet of life should be celebrated, and her followers carry that into the world in her stead. Temples of Vash'run often help out the less fortunate populace, housing orphanages or other types of shelter. To give without expecting anything back is one of their biggest tenets.

Valgyrn

Goddess of Destruction, Death, Darkness
Depicted as a human
For life to thrive, it must end   Death is part of life. Always has, and always will be. Only when one life ends can another start, and the cycle of life continues. Only then can those that still remain continue to evolve. Valgyrn does not think well of unnaturally prolonging a life, she knows that every single one has its purpose, and after that, it must end. She is not an evil goddess at all, death is simply part of life. She is the twin of Vash'run, but is unable to be with her, for the sake of all creations in all planes. The two are therefore in continual pain. Valgyrn's followers often help others with funeral or to deal with loss, or mental illnesses.
