Enter the Eldritch

You try to hold on to the bar with all of your might, but the cold iron scrapes at your hands as your grip begins to falter. You feel flames lick at your ankles, as if trying to drag you down as the stone ring shakes violently like its trying to throw you off. 
A deep rumble causes the entire room to vibrate, and one of your hands slips off the bar, leaving you dangling above the seemingly endless pit. A menacing growl sounds from below, and the iron itself starts to warm up as the flames engulf it. You try to pull yourself up and fling yourself away from the edge,  but your hand slips and suddenly you are surrounded by nothing but air and flames. Your vision begins to go black, but suddenly its filled with color, painting a massive stained-glass illustration of three gods in your head. 
Before you can get a good look, the image switches. an army, chasing two of the three gods into a building that looked a lot like the one you were in at this very moment, while the third ran into a cave to hide form he approaching army.
The last image shows the two sealed away, right into the very pit you had fallen into. Bound by iron chains, they sank to the depths, never to be seen again. 
When the last image fades, you see two massive creatures carefully glide towards you like giant sea monsters with a thousand eyes, reaching out for your hand as glowing tendril-like markings envelope your arms, and your vision goes black.
