Planar Dragons

Planar dragons are dragons that are native to planes other than the Prime Material plane. Some are a subtype of chromatic dragons, who, as a result of living and breeding on other planes, have been changed dramatically by them.

Subtypes

Although there are many planar dragon species, the following are the ones known by the sages:
Abyssal Dragons Abyssal dragons dwell in the Abyss. Varieties include the frostforged wyrm and deathmask dragon.
Astral Dragons Astral dragons dwell in the Astral Sea. Varieties include the battle dragon and pact dragon.
Elemental Dragons Elemental dragons dwell in the Elemental Chaos (previously the various elemental planes). Varieties include the blazewyrm, dragon eel, tempest dragon, and pyroclastic dragon.
Feywild Dragons Feywild dragons dwell in the Feywild. Varieties include the faerie dragon, mirage dragon, and wretch dragon.
Shadowfell Dragons Shadowfell dragons dwell in the Shadowfell. Varieties include the blight dragon and shadow dragon.
