Fiendfell

The Goblins of Fiendfell are not our normal goblins. They don't run around with the goblins of the South, they don't hang out with the Orcs or Bugbears that are known to boss goblins around. In fact they are a bit taller than normal goblins. The reason for this, is because they are separated from the other goblins. The founders of these goblins escaped from the tyranny of the Orcs and Bugbears, and evil wizards that bossed them around. They had a little help doing this though. There was a man (if you could call him that) who helped them. He was different than other men, he was the leader of a group of people called Arachnidys. They too escaped from the tyranny of wizards. They brought the goblins a long way away from the South, all the way North to the place they called Shaazarak. They taught them the finer things of life, aught them to read, and do math, taught them different kinds of magic; brought them up to be a "real" people. After several decades of living like this, they decided to branch off on their own. For one, it was way too hot in this northern part of country. they moved further South along the Icehorn Mountains, through the Shadowcrags, and finally settled in the Stone Cage Mountains, and founding the fortress of Fiendfell. It wasn't always called Fiendfell however, in its glory days it was known as Madodh Zrez (Tyrant Slayer in the common tongue), a name made of the combination of their captors and saviors. It got to be a very wealthy city. That's what brought the fiends there. They started taking over, one goblin at a time, the ones in the highest positions. They started running things into the ground and keeping all the money to themselves. It was a good thing the they decided as a nation to keep their most powerful elders out ot positions of power. This proved to be a good thing, as the were the ones to finally bring the Fiends down. A great battle ensued, and hey even had help from the Arachnidys that had helped them before. The Fiends were sent back to their domain, and hence the name Fiendfell. Some of these Goblins have gone off to travel the world to see what they could learn from everyone else.
