Khodsol
The currency used by most dwarves
Properties
Material Characteristics
A khodsol is a hexagonal platinum piece engraved with dwarven runes and the face of a god or a king.
Origin & Source
The first khodsi were minted by the first king of the Eternal Empire to enable his realm to trade.
History & Usage
Everyday use
Only dwarves deal in Khodsol, as it wasn't used by any other states in Ochebana. Even within dwarven realms, however, the Khosdi are rare as they often pay in ingots or other barter.
Refinement
The platinum had to be poured through a complicated series of presses to be formed in the exact shape required. Specific processes that required batteries of forges made for an insurance against falsification, as its exact weight and form were extremely hard to reproduce.
Distribution
Trade & Market
Khodsol is often used in trades between dwarven enclaves that don't trust each other completely, as Khosdi are a very safe money.
Law & Regulation
Any illegal fabrications of Khodsol was usually punished with exile, death, or torture.
Note: Khodsol is the money, while Khosdol is the platinum piece itself. Khodsol exists only in singular, while Khosdol's plural is Khosdi.
