Imperial Armed Forces

The armed forces of the Holy Dwarven Empire.

Composition

Manpower

The Empire, at its strongest, counted 50'000 soldiers, 1'000 armored units, 2'000 Firefleet vessels, and 3'000 elite troops.

Structure

At the top stood the Queen. A group of marshals, called Imperial Armed Forces Council, stood beneath her. One each of such men controlled a part of the armed forces, such as Army or Navy. The Firefleet was controlled by two generals.

Tactics

The Empire often proceeded by overwhelming entire countries through barrages fired through ships and Firefleet vessels, then proceeding to gush thousands of troops into the weakened country, giving no mercy to its government and systematically replacing its inhabitants with dwarven colons.

Logistics

Logistical Support

The armed forces rely a fair bit on the navy for overseas transports and the Firefleet for long-range and land transport.

Auxilia

The armed forces were assisted by Auxiliary troops, non-dwarven soldiers who worked together with the dwarves.

Upkeep

The dwarven forces were huge and required an enormous amount of work to support. Since they were the base of the Empire, the economy was geared towards sustaining all the soldiery.
