Practical Studies Salon
The Practical College Salon focuses its studies on engineering, alchemy and the natural philosophies. The Practical College Salon is constantly feuding internally, with no one willing to give up their best inventions, yet needing the help of their fellow members to bring their ideas into reality. While the Salon is called “Practical”, in reality most of the discoveries made by the members are highly theoretical and only rarely turned into actual inventions that are brought to market.
The Practical College maintains a sort of patent office in their Record Of Thought Office, in which schematics and theories are recorded, less for legal protection, but more to humiliate people who brings forth ideas that has already been thought. Their main rival is the Classical Studies Salon, who they see as being impractical and divided from reality, unable to ever bring any actual change or do any good in the world (Or, perhaps as importantly, gain any material wealth).
