After arriving at the Southlands, the now-renamed Crimson Crusaders began to establish a foothold along the Iron Coast, with the first Holy City of Santaterra. In the coming months, they would fight against raiders, ogres, and inhabitants of the Southlands.

From the several hundreds of ships of all sizes that came form the west, only a 30 greater ships and a dozen of smaller boats survived, many of the survivors were hungry and tired; the majority of those that survived had some capacity of military training, but eventually the Tetrarchy put that, by law, all men and women needed to learn to defend themselves, for this was the first step towards the Crusade.   But, at this point, no one wanted to fight a war away from their lands (now sunk), against an enemy they had not met, in a land not their own; the majority were peasants, not soldiers, and even then they were not truly faithful, and even if they were, their faith had been diminished due to tribulations of the journey itself.   And so, for a time, Aragones The Navigator decided to, for a time, not push the Crusade any further; instead, they helped to establish a home in this barren coastland they've arrived in.   In the year 1712, the first stones of Santaterra would be placed, and the wood and other materials used for the ships were repurposed to make docks, tools, wooden beams for houses, and even a small temple of the Faith. In time, people of the Southlands (whom the Crimson People called Bernuinos at the time) began to arrive, and some established trade relations with them, or offer aid as long as they helped them in battle.   But not all was as swell, some were raiders, and oftentimes the occasional Ogre, those ancient and wild metallic constructs reminiscent of The War of Winter's Fire, would sometimes attack isolated settlements and merchant caravans. The soldiers and knights would then embark in small skirmishes to keep their people safe, and eventually, many of the Southlanders would join the Tetrarchy of Faith, and even marry.   In 1717, diplomats of both Twelve-Tower City and some of the cities of The Valley Princes would arrive at Santaterra, and establish diplomatic relations.
