Mountainheart Mine

Mountainheart mine is owned and operated by Clan Orebeard. It is the source of much of their wealth and closely linked with the Treasury of Karak-Kahn, which is brief skip away across The Undermountain.
It entrance is austere and plain, it’s little of interest except for the odd mine cart that emerges on rails. Inside however, the mine is an ordered chaos. Cave ins and slides are common, but those accompanied by the elemental earth mages of Clan Orebeard are rarely hurt.
Semi-dormant magma tubes occasionally are uncovered and burst forth. Elemental energy is strong here and the hazard of elementals and mephits is always present. For these threats Clan Flamebeard has a small presence in the mine.

Purpose / Function

The mines supplies Karak-Khan with precious raw materials.
Iron, gold and precious jewels of splendid variety have come out of the mountain for generations, and there are no signs of it slowing down.
