The Second Eternal War

Even with the Gods dead their war still raged on, this time between the Angels of Mount Celestia and the Demons of The Abyss. This war was more bloody than the first and caused a lot more suffering. Overtime the elite Angel Warriors began to gain resistances against the Demons and look more like them. The group started calling themselves Devils and used the Plane of Hell as there home and at times a battleground against the Demons. Eventually, though the forces of Hell had built up a large enough force that they no longer needed help from their brothers in Mount Celestia. After this shift, the two groups grew apart and no longer saw each other as equals. When the Devils needed assistance though the Angels were no were to be found. This lead the Devils needing to use more lucrative ways of getting warriors for their armies. With the Devils setting up shop in Hell this meant the Demons needed to conquer it before they could successfully take Mount Celestia. The Second Eternal War still rages on, with no end in sight, many believe that the Material Plane will be in ruin before either side is defeated.
