Lord of the Golden City, King Ellisar Mortain (a.k.a. Lord of the Red)

The predecessor to the usurper king who overthrew the old hierarchy over 1000 years ago, his rude ways have made him appear hostile to his people, but he cares deeply for them despite his seemingly cold attitude. He is a valiant warrior who still wears his battle armor, and has his hammer at the ready at all times.
He is the father of Onfroy, though he sees his son as a disappointment because of his commitment to adventure, and has thusly named his brother as heir to the throne of Velkirk.

The cold, estranged king of Velkirk. Everyday he faces civil unrest, and grows colder and angrier, despite his love for his people.
