Zweck / Funktion

Der Cataracta ist eine, wenn nicht die Akademie für Magieandwender.

Design

Some walls are at least decorated with mable ornaments and the ceiling is completly made out of it. The atmosphere the interior circulates is rather cold and uncomfortable. The rooms in which the students live in however are actually really fancy. Almost every room has a own fireplace and comfortable beds. The large windows allow you to constantly look outside and admire the view. It has many and big hallways and you can easily get lost in the castle.

Eingänge

Though there are som other exits or entries other then the front door, the organization tries to keep them hidden and preferably choose to enter through the gates. But even to them not all is discovered yet.

Sinneseindrücke & Aussehen

As soon as you would pass the big archway and enter through a gate, you'll see a giant hall with several torches to enlighten it if there's night. The smell of parchment and ink would creep into your nose and you could hear quiet chatter of students minding their own business. Regardless of how well you take in your surroundings you'd notice the big burn and scratch marks on the walls and a few cracks. The grumpy guards standing in every corner were probably to catch your eyes and how their eyes would not leave you for a second. You'd generally just feel watched constantly as if you were exptected to do something wrong or they were ready to take you down any minute.

Veränderungen

The support and the columns underneath the castle have been renovated and fortified so the castle itself won't crash down.

Architektur

The architecture is inspired a lot by the romantic period. The walls are mostly made out of stone. On the inside some are clearly marble. Many large windows adorn the castle, letting the sunlight enlighten it's interior. Two giant bridges sideways connect the castle above the waterfall to the mainland and are secured with thin railings. Detailed ornaments are beautifully engraved into the outer walls of the castle. Near the castles are a few fields on which the magic users can train.

Geschichte

The castle is ancient. Generations over generations have been living in the building and many will follow. A few centurys ago it was set as some sort of school for magic users and as the headquarters for the Bearers. Many say the cataracta lost its glory and beauty because of its new purpose.
