The Twin Planets

Myroklast and Jasedar are linked by a free-floating bridge of shattered earth between them. This was not the origin of their link, more an inevitable result of it. When Tharizdun shattered the worlds with the Shard of Evil, the broken remains of the torn planets coalesced between them, forming a path that only the most foolhardy would dare to tread. The Primordials of Jasedar were the first to cross, inciting the Dawn War. It was not the method the encroaching Obyriths would have chosen but it served their purposes well enough.   Millenia after the Dawn War, the link still holds firm, despite the attempts of the demons to sever it. Before there was a physical link, there was an elemental one. The constant land-wars of the elementals shaped Myroklast. The Titans of Air, Water, and Earth control most of the surface of Jasedar, with the territories of the Titans of Fire and Vita are fairly changeable. It is the interactions between territories of various Primordials and Titans that shapes the elemental composition of Myroklast. For example, when a Primordial of granite conquers some land previously belonging to a Primordial of limestone, a section of limestone on Myroklast proportional to the size of the area conquered will transmute into granite. Most of this happens underground with no visible effect on the world. However, the Titan of Fire is forever filled with rage and launches constant attacks on neighbouring territories. This manifests on Myroklast whenever anything burns. The effect also works in reverse. Someone causing a forest fire on Myroklast will see fire elementals swarm the lands of Vita on Jasedar.   The realms of Jasedar do not properly conform to physical spatial laws. Every realm borders every other at any given time as the borders are more spiritual than defined. A territory is not linked to the surface or elemental makeup of the surface of the planet, more the spiritual space that a given Primordial occupies. Along many of these borders are walls, such as between the domains of glass and fire. With effort, fire may encroach on the realm of glass and melt it, but it will not do so easily. The opposite is true for elements such as salt and water, the borders of which blend into one another and it is impossible to tell where they end and begin, save that they do, at some point, cease to be conjoined.
