Garl Glittergold

Garl Glittergold was the gnomish god of luck, protection and trickery. He was known in particular for his practical jokes and friendliness, in the old stories solving most of the disputes between other gods with a good-natured joke that let all come away satisfied even if their pride was a little dented. Garl was noticeably uncomfortable with the other gods' war with the Primordials, and with their creation of follower races. He believed that all people should live freely, able to spend their lives doing whatever they desired and not forced into the worship of a god simply for creating them. It was ironic then that the Gnomes, who he left to their own devices shortly after creating, chose to worship him anyway.
