After leaving his home vault, Kazbat, he began to see his fellow vaulters as especially closed minded and anachronistic, often times indistinguishable from the artifacts they attempt aimlessly to breathe life into. He made his way to the capital of Ephox and trained his magical aptitude for 9 years as a charlatans assistant, before Bekker (The Charlatan) decided it was time for Jad to move on and left the city, giving Jad instructions to join the Academy of Stars in his absence, and when he eventually gets bored of a scholars life to join his old mercenary company, the Scriveners Sect. After 5 years of education, he did end up joining the Scriveners Sect for 6 months before returning to Ephox, eventually leaving to join a second company with a good friend and trusted scholar, Tesha

Jad has learned from Bekker that you must be particularly adept at manipulating people to get what you want from them, so in theory, Jad is extremely good at this after 9 years of practice. In execution, however, Jad sometimes forgets the manipulations altogether and uses his influence to learn more about his supposed targets. For all his bluster about pragmatism, he sometimes loses sight of the goal when a target is right in front of them, especially if they are particularly attractive with a well groomed beard.

Great. Thrice daily he applies a homemade mousse to his hair to retain a crisp nature while maintaining his beard with a unique salve made from cocoa powder to soften it. It goes without saying that he always makes sure to shower or bathe somehow before worship at dawn and dusk.
