Since the beginning of modern Humanity when they were corrupted by the dark creations of the Fallen Astral Jerok, the world of Kalder has sat on the edge of complete devastation. The unified Heartland Empire finally subjugated the last of their mainland adversaries and now set their sights outside of their own borders. With their supreme military might and advanced magical technology, they are confident in their success.   Meanwhile, over the Koldovack Mountains and across the Narrow Channel, the nations of Sinsin and Selka both prepare for the inevitable Heartland onslaught. Their weapons appear crude when compared to those of the Heartland, but their drive to defend their lands from invasion fills every soldier and citizen with the conviction to stand their ground.   Away from the strife of the West, the nation of Shatterack encounters a dangerous, other-worldly foe from the desolate lands of the Unknown Country.
