Kaiju Tamers

The series of Kaiju Tamers revolves around one rather simple concept: The collecting training and battling of kaiju.   Kaiju (怪獣) meaning "Strange beast" are any variety of abnormal creatures, typically of great size and power.   In the ancient history of this version of Earth, Kaiju ruled the planet for millions of years before a catastrophic event sent them into hiding. In that time, humans evolved and formed an advanced ancient civilization. With their technology and abuse of the Earth, mankind reawoke the dormant kaiju, and the two races waged war for rulership of the Earth for one hundred years. The then kaiju king commanded the kaiju of Earth to fight on until a single human boy managed to face him. Becoming the first kaiju tamer, the boy befriended six powerful kaiju and brought peace to the world.   In the aftermath of the war, both populations, and the entirety of human civilization had fallen. Humans and kaiju formed a kinship as they rebuilt society together. Now in the current era, humans and kaiju coexist peacefully, with a guild of tamers known as rangers protect the world and maintain the peace.
