Finding natural sources of safe, fresh water is a challenge in Queens. Though filtering technology exists, there exists an invisible "blight" that follows when drinking large quantities of water from certain sources. This blight can be identified by a type of modified metal detector called a dowsing rod, and some individuals claim that blighted water has a metallic "tang" to it. While this blight won't kill you, assuming you're young and otherwise healthy, it can keep you bedridden and feverish for up to a year, or longer. Some old world relics can cleanse blighted water, but they're rare and require cells to power.

Significance

You need to drink it to live. Please stay hydrated.

Rarity

Hard to find in the wild. Reasonably common in civilization, but comes at a premium.
