12000BDR

The event widely believed to be the first contact between man and god. In the modern day, Awol Saisho is widely believed to be more allegorical than literal.   The dates of each constituent event are unknown, so they are typically referred to together as a single historical event.

No one is quite sure how the first Arnak Humans came to be.   It is said that the Ancient Arnak used the Eiulum gate to bring forth extra planar beings. It is said Kakoht, the first god, came forth and taught the Arnak magic. He also brought forth red dragons, and in combining their blood with that of humans; created the dragonborn.   Kakoht fathered a child, Charia, to whom he promised Besol. He also created a being capable of bringing life to the barren land of Jaerun; Esriel. Esriel populated Jaerun with new gods, beings, animals and beasts. Before long, a pantheon of gods were influencing the land how they saw fit.   In time, the red dragons began to doubt Kakoht, and grew jealous of the Arnak. Lead by the evil red dragon Diamund, they tore the Eiulum gate portal, and spilled out demons and dragons into the land, including the Demon Prince; Graz'zt.   Charia summoned Tebat, the first gold dragon, to battle the red dragons, beasts, and demons. Kakoht saw his red dragon’s treachery and shut the portal, throwing the amulet he used to open it in to the Besol Sea (The Awal Amulet). Grazzt, Diamund and their followers were soon defeated by Kakoht, Tebat and Charia. The final blow was dealt by a mortal, remembered only as the Scaled Soldier, a being said to be both Dragonborn and Human.   Irritated and offended by the betrayal and war, the Gods left the material plane, and went to dwell in other astral homes.   Over generations this tale became myth, only remembered by the gods themselves.
