The arrival of humans, dwarves and halflings on the Sword Coast, and the creation of the first elves.

It is believed that long ago, humans, dwarves and halflings dwelled upon the Sword Coast, in an area they called the Dale. How they arrived is unknown, but it is said that they immediately set to work building, exploring, and changing the landscape in their own conclaves.   The dwarves favoured the northernmost region, specifically the Spine of the World, with humans settling a little south of here. The halflings spread themselves across all areas indescriminately.   In an attempt to slow their destruction of the environment, Esriel opened fey portals across the area, and from them spawned the first elves of the Dale. However, not all of the elves were as kind to nature as hoped, and they began constructing their own settlements.
