The Singing Plains

The former site of the ancient elven Kingdom of Inverallon. Formerly, a forest occupied these rolling verdant hills, but it was burned down by wizard lord Baraba Hexfire, who replaced the towns and cities with keeps and towers inside of which he performed various arcane experiments on mutation, creating horrible abominations. When he died, his heirs continued the work. Ultimately his descendants were defeated by an alliance of Old Sorosia and the descendants of the elves of Inverallon. They tore down his structures, destroyed his abominations, and planted grasses over the wasteland. The elves established the city of Invera, swearing fealty to the Sorosian Empire.
