Twinned Papyrus

Two pieces of papyrus, linked by a magical bond. The original pieces belonged to Nur'zi and Thalnar, but the former eventually fell into the possession of the group.
When the group caught up with Hallie, they severed their piece of papyrus in half, severing the bond the item had with Nur'zi's half and allowing them to communicate with their friend.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

When ink is applied to one half of the papyrus, the drawn contents are replicated into the second item in a way both items contents are always identical. The ink slowly fades away from both objects, completely disappearing after a few minutes. Tearing the paper severs the link with the previous half, but still allows the item to function as normal, provided the remaining parts have an area greater than one square centimeter. If one part of one of the halves (or its entirety) is destroyed, the corresponding areas in its twin lose their magical properties, becoming mundane paper.
