Istrolas is realm filled with innate and abundant magic. Creatures of mythical proportions roam the lands. Beasts of unimaginable strength bring ruin to civilization. The inhabitants were required to bolster their defenses to protect the lands they love. Some went underground, some took to the seas, others the skies, some travelled to distant and secluded locations, yet many remained put and built fortresses that could withstand the end of days. It had been centuries since the people had worried about devastation on a scale of what was stirring throughout the lands. Those stories had become closer to myths and legends, like the fairy tales one might read to children. The innate magic was becoming more and more chaotic, causing the beasts of the lands to swell with might and furious anger.
