Description

The levai mahogany is a big, hardwood tree, whose lumber is an extremely expensive and sought after luxury item. It has a bluish-red coloration,its leaves are green and romboid shaped. The seeds are spiral shaped and brown in color. As a natural means of defense, the tree exudes an aromatic oil that repels insects and birds that prey on its seeds and leaves. However, the smell of the oil its a sweet, citric aroma with soothing capabilities that remains in the lumber even after barnish is applied. Such characteristics makes the levai lumber such a high quality item. Native to the region of Levania in the continent of Verliant, the tree has been exported with hopes of making plantations in other parts of the world, however, as of yet unknown factors, possibly soil and weather specific characteristics of its natural habitat, have made this impossible, as the tree withers and dies in shortly thereafter.

History

The Levania region , already noted for its high quality, luxury items, produced about 80% of the products that Verliant exported to other countries. During an expedition to the Highleaf Forest, explorers were taken by the sweet aroma of a particular tree. While examing it, they noticed its hard consistency, its durability, and peculiar coloration. They settled on a bearby cliff, and started working with the precious lumber, producing beautiful furniture and other lumber items that quickly became coveted by the public. Thus, the House Highleaf was born. Nowdays, Highleaf City is the biggest producer of levai lumber items and one of the richest and most powerful house on all of Verliant
