Timarans (Ty-mar-uh-ens)

Timarans were once a regional people that called the Tia lakes their home before they expanded to the farthest reaches of the valley. They rose to prominence nearly 400 years ago but not much survived before the founding of their kingdom. Once the Pentachroma was established and the first king crowned they began to adhere to the tenets of Tiamat and expanded their lands. After many years of conquest, their soldiers retired to the conquered territories and married many of the locals of those regions.    As the empire worked to secure its borders and manage the thousands of people under their rule it founded the Royal Academy, and the Chroma Arcanum to infuse its standing army with fresh troops, and mages. Within a generation, Timara had one of the strongest fighting forces in the region with its Dragoons, Battle-Mages, and well-disciplined soldiers. The neighboring county of Veleras was soon facing another set of invaders from the south and called aid from Timara who answered their cry for help. Through this action, Timara proved that they did have one of the greatest fighting forces.    The Empire's mages and dragoons were soon in demand in many other parts of the world. The various different dragon flights gained prestige and knowledge from fighting on behalf of different kingdoms and are some of the most prized forces for any nation that could recruit them.

Common Dress code

Azure Desert Along the eastern edge of the empire lies the Azure Desert spanning for many miles and is blistering hot. The clothing here is long and loose to protect against this heat often wearing long robes and wrapping their heads with a light-colored cloth.   Halycon Plains Warm but not as constantly hot as the Azure desert which is reflected in the clothing. Men wear a single tunic that reaches right above the knees and wearing sturdy sandals or boots. Women wear a single long dress that stops right at their shins. Both articles of clothing are made from light material for summer use, and during the winter put on heavy robes made from animal fur to protect them during the cold months.   Highlands/Lowlands Warm and comfortable almost all year round much of the population wear clothes that take advantage of this. Like on the plains, men wear tunics with a belt or sash around their waist and typically wear sandals in these regions. Women wear a long shirt with a skirt worn on top and held together by a belt around the waist, and wear sandals as well. People who live in these regions do not have any winter clothing like robes or coats.   Emerald Forests Cold air coming down from the Dunkhaz Range causes clothing in the woods to be thicker and hardier than what is found in the lowlands. The humans, dwarves, and elves that are found here wear leather pants and woven shirts lined with animal fur. During the winter or traveling in the Frozen Woods people have coats and boots that they wear to protect them from the cold and snow.   Chroma Arcanum/ Dragon Flights Each mage and solider in the respective divisions are issued a uniform that they are responsible for taking care of until their discharge. When going to colder or warmer regions they are then issued coats, and desert clothing.
