With King Pericles retired, putting all his faith into Alexis, the newly crowned monarch could begin. They decreed that anyone could join the military despite their ranks, even the ones whom were exiled to have another chance.

They decreed that anyone could join the military despite their ranks, even the ones whom were exiled to have another chance. The nobles were angered, but Alexis was quick to nip them in the bud that if they caused any trouble, they would be treated without bias and favoritism.   The next decree they made was that anyone could travel anywhere, and all portals should be guarded. This lessoned some troublemaking nobles who tried to provoke and/or attack those without wings and commoners alike and put a quick stop to it. While the nobles tried and tried to outsmart Eminence Alexis, they were greatly embarrassed, and sometimes humiliated, each time. The farthest Alexis went by punishment was by putting them in house arrest for an entire week.   But what really made them well known was their quick wits during a visit from an unknown yet powerful nation that visited with an entire army that threatened them. They too had wings and could easily scale up to the skies with how immense they were. The visitor wished to have telekinesis bestowed upon them and their army, else they would crush Volatilis.   Eminence Alexis, undaunted, told them flat out that they could not crush them and their islands since they would crush them first. With a cry, Eminence Alexis quickly made an example of them,

"Let this be a lesson to you and other nations: We will crush anyone who dare to threaten our time of peace. With my ancestor Styliani before me, I order you all to leave!"

They used their magic to push them through the islands to the ocean, the military soon joining in as all the falling equines splashed into the water from the immense force. The hippocampi ignored their calls and swam away, leaving the unknown visitors to defend themselves from the other sea creatures. The sight would soon be told all over, the tense feeling from other nations gone once more but only for a certain time.   Throughout their reign, Eminence Alexis made sure that the nation was peaceful, yet also keeping watch for any of their people bullying travelers despite reasons. This led to more of her people to think they weren't thinking of the people entirely and began to rebel. Again and again she met them strongly, pushing them back, before outright making an announcement a few months later:

For those who wish to believe that I am not thinking for only my people, then you are correct. It is my duty to make sure that peace is all over, no matter what rank, gender, nation you belong to. Here, in the Isles of Volatilis, we are good to everyone.

  Alexis and the military held off those who rebelled, but did not kill them and gave them a chance to start anew or stay in prison. Most were moved by Alexis' decision but there are still some who found them to be too softhearted. Alexis soon mated with one of the Commanders of the military and had only one foal, a colt, before dying naturally in twenty years. The Commander was never appointed as an alongside ruler since they never wished for it, but they trained their son where they and Alexis left off to what he is today: the King of current Volatilis.
