Alsus Tribe

The icy mountain rage far north are home to the biggest and fluffiest equines that laugh at the cold. Those who come here need to have a guide or know their way around since they could get lost and freeze to death. Snow and ice are never ending here and at times, blizzards can appear. It's not uncommon to have equines to grow thick coats or have cloaks out of materials that animals have shedded for them to wear. This tribe does not kill or hurt fellow animals to gain their materials either and to do so is a crime that can lead to death. Out of all the nations, the Alsusans are the friendliest since the cold temperatures and surroundings are enough to just have them shrug. Someone stole something? Ah too cold to bother. Someone accidentally put snow in front of your dwelling? Maybe a stern talking of "Hey what happened?" but nothing serious. Those who travel may find it frustrating but it's better to use your energy elsewhere. The tribe has a leader known as the Champion, whom is decided upon by not by bloodline but by a showcase of skill in the art of ice and strength combined. They hold this every four years with strict rules so that no one cheats or they will face being in the cold for three days with no protection. Those who are dubbed the next Champion are honored by ceremony in showmanship of ice forming with the predecessor Champion before them. This symbolizes the cycle of Champions stepping down and also wishing the next Champion in line with their own power as if to say "Please, continue to protect the tribe."

Geography

High cliffs, chilly winds, cold snow and ice, those outside not used to such weather would wonder why but for them, it's home. Forest areas surrounding the tribe help break the wind a little when the mountains can't. The land is flat for a moment before becoming jagged and rocky if one doesn't pay attention. Definitely do not sleep walk.

Fauna & Flora

Anything that is determined and can grow in the cold can grow here. Special flowers formed by ice that shatter when touched also grow here. To pick them you need to know a trick: carefully pick them up out of the ground with the roots and all. These fragile yet beautiful flowers are often seen in homes made in the mountains add that nice little touch of home sweet home.
