In exchange for protection of their young and transforming youth, the Silken Moon Moths provide the used silk of their cocoons for use by the Weavers of Bevel and as magical components for magic users. The heavily forested grove is thick with dark, wide leaves where young Silken Moon caterpillars live and eat. Cocoons are made on the tops of leaves and over the months long gestation period of the moths, they absorb massive amounts of moonlight and grow magical the longer they sit in the moonlight. Some cocoons are left for harvest for full years to allow the magical potential to grow. Syreues is a very small grove, but considered extremely important to the magically gifted and the weaver's of bevel as the only place where the Silken Moon Moths live.

Demographics

The majority of the population is Silken Moon Moth, but their demands for protection have lead Syreues to be filled with other invertebrates who find Syreues to be a safe haven.

History

The Silken Moon Moths were nearly destroyed before the Kingdom of Chiron was founded. After the founding, they plead with the king for protection, they promised that, if protected, their silk could be used to create magic beyond what the king had seen. They were granted protections and indeed, their silk could be used to produce some of the strongest magics and most impressive magical cloth the king had ever seen.
