Grillir

Where the mountain begins to tapper off, slate stone becomes easy enough to dig out or chip away, some other hard mineral stones may also easily be taken out. Few birds actually live so far away from the trees and the mountain, though a few flightless birds have taken to living closer to the plains area, using the unsteady rocks for protection. The fiercest of them act primarily as guardians, keeping track of what stones are taken by which kingdoms or guilds and sending reports back to the king.

Demographics

Though few flighted birds live so far from their mountain, Grillir is home to many flightless birds.

Government

Self proclaimed lords of Grillir, no one has ever challenged the Cassowaries for their rulership. As they do not defy King Ossigeyer, he lets them rule Grillir as they please.

Infrastructure

For as much stone as there is just lying about, there is almost nothing by way of shelters built. Only a few group buildings exist for when the wind or rain is especially bad, and two guild houses.

Guilds and Factions

The Diggery and the Ironclad both have little guild houses where they may rest between hauling stone.

Natural Resources

Primarily slate but granite and even some marble may be easily extracted
