Human
"The pain we have endured has only served to make us stronger"
Humans are one of the dominant sapient life forms of Iskara. While their point of origin on the world is currently unknown, the leading theory suggests that the progenitor to the various human races came from a now forgotten land to the east. The races of man vary greatly in appearances, strengths and Arcane abilities. The human races have also been bestowed with unique divine abilities that persist even to this day.
Humanity spans much of Iskara and calls much of it home. On Teldara the Sareni dominate the heartlands and to the north reside the durable Avar. To the east of the continent of Ankar lie the Ankari, masters of the blade and sands. Lastly, on the archipelago of Madura the Madurans peacefully coexist with the living land.
During the Age of Divinity the races of man were blessed with divine abilities to help them thrive against hostile forces. Some of the Sareni were granted skills to enhance the capabilities of those around them, these individuals are commonly referred to as the Aegisborn. Few among the Madurans are able to serve as conduits for the elements, channeling them through their bodies with extraordinary efficiency. Some among the Avar are capable of tapping into the Blood Trance, more commonly referred to as the Blood Rage. These volatile warriors are able to drastically enhance their physical and Arcane skills to an almost worrying degree, these individuals are known as Beserkers. More rare than that of the Beserker are the Iceborne, individuals able to wield Arcanice, a strange and magical form of ice. Amidst the dunes lie special Ankari capable of bending and manipulating metals, mostly in the form of blades, with deadly precision, these individuals are known as Swordsingers.
