The Witch King Alroq Shadowblade (a.k.a. The Winter King)

Alroq is the lord of the Winter Court and serves Mab faithfully. Begin one of the few courts to be in the larger Unseili court (at least one of the larger ones). Like all the high lords of the Unseelie court, he must maintain his front in the war against the Far Realm and for him, that is the Frostfell. The Winter King is extremely powerful in the Frostfell and the Summer Chourts influence is quite here allowing him to act outside of what they would consider acceptable behaviour. The armies of Alroq include all the monstrous fey that belong to Mab. He is also one of the Seasonal Lords and so he holds power over a large portion of the Eladrin which serve in his armies against the Far Realm. The Palace of the Winter King is in the Feywild close to Mabs front in the war. A fort made of Shadowsteel positioned on a nexus which is strange since his front line is nowhere near his palace.
The Winter Court The court that Alroq controls is one of the seasonal courts and that means he has another palace in the Mortal Realm. This was the Hall of Frozen Tears though now it lies mostly empty. In Alroqs absence Maeve has taken control of the Winter Court and holding the title of Lady of Winter. The Knight of the Winter Court is no different from most others the main difference is that the Knight often rides with the Wild Hunt.
The Wild Hunt The Wild Hunt is a complex matter which many schoolers have tried to understand, though the book known as The Lord of Fey sheds some light on the matter. All existing copies of this book are believed lost. "There is something very mysterious about the leaders of the Wil Hunt because there seem to be three hunts. One of them is lead by the High Lord the Erlking. His hunt ride through the Material Plane and are the largest of all, Erlking is considers the true leader of the Wild Hunt. Another of the sects is the hunt controlled by Vadderung a mysterious part of the Wild Hunt and thought to be almost as powerful as Erlking and the Witch King. Vadderung rides mostly in the northern parts of the world. And finally, the Red Riders which is where the Witch-King rides with his army of riders. The Winter King rides from the Ile of the Hunt and out across the Shattered Sea. especially in winter when the Witch King is at its strongest due to the power of the Frostfell which the Red Riders use to their advantage. Much of the Red Riders frost powers comes from the Winter King and the equipment he makes for his hunters. All of these sects of the Wild Hunt have a purpose and the Red Riders are the ones how spread the fear of the Wild Hunt to other worlds through the Feywild. This means that they are the most brutal and destructive of the Wild Hunt. Alroq leads his huntsmen to many worlds and in some of them, he is believed to be the true leader of the Wild Hunt. This has slowed down since Alroqs imprisonment. 
History Alroq age is truly unknown because he was on the Feywild before the gods came. He did not do much the first millennia however this changed with Geralt of Rivia. Now this is the myth the Red Riders ar eknown most for so its summery will not be written here but the aftermath of Geralts supposed death is here. Now this took place in 7321 B.G.F. The elves had just come out of a civil war which split the race in two. At this point the elves were the most powerful empire in the Winter Land but than the events of the myth took place and Alroq in reveange for geralta actions razed the entire empire to the ground eventually finding Geralt and killing him. The only city that was not destroyed by the whole of the Wild Hunt was Aril Le Tharda. During the Fall of the gods the fey remained neutralbut when the avatars of the Elder Evils came the unseelie court tried to kill them and slew three Alroq killing two and at the fest in the Hall of Frozen Teers the Elder gods imprisoned him on his throne were he still is to this day.
